A bit about me:
My metaphysical spiritual journey began in 2010. Growing up in a very traditional and religiously conservative home, my spiritual awakening was more like a phoenix rising form the ashes than it was a tender new flower rising from fertile soil. A religious upbringing afforded me the inclination towards belief, faith, introspection, sacred devotion and practice as well as a desire to extend my understanding beyond mere intellectual knowledge to gain wisdom through experience. It also gave me a strong foundation in the study religious texts and the understanding of the importance of ritual and community. But from early own there was a lack of internal resonance with formal religion. My teens and early adulthood was filled with many experiences that stretched me beyond my sheltered suburban childhood. I traveled the world and began the even greater journey to find and intentionally create myself.This journey not only helped me to remember and revive my soul but also, undoubtedly, saved my life. Although I had left my indoctrinated upbringing in late adolescence, by early adulthood my heart had just been broken too deeply and too many times. I tried everything to fix my life and mend my broken heart. When secular ways and means took me as far as I could go...when all the intellectual study and information on history, philosophy and psychology offered no more relief from the difficulties and pain of life... knew the solution would need to be a spiritual one. My secular journey across time periods, cultures and overseas locations would need to transform into a sacred internal journey within. I had to reconnect the the Divine Source that I had distanced myself from for decades.I had to correct and transform the misconceptions and misinformation I was taught in my youth of who and what 'God' is. I had to heal the religious trauma and separate Truth and Divine perspectives and understanding from the dogma and the pettiness of current human fears and insecurities.My foremost and foundational spiritual lessons learned to start me on my journey were:
1) There is no such thing as coincidences
and
2) The Universe ("God/ The Goddess" "Source"...whatever you want to call it) is always speaking to us, the question is who is listening.So I proceeded to learn how to listen and be guided. It started with The Alchemist (P. Coelho) and You can Heal Your Life (L. Hay), Conversations with God (N.D. Walsh) and Return to Love (M. Williams) along with many others. I met with a personal guru, attended workshops, seminars, classes and joined what metaphysical groups that called to me. I learned how to meditate, intuitively interpret dreams and read tarot cards. Attended sweat lodges, sound baths, reiki shares and yoga classes. I explored the 'science' of manifestation and magic, past life regression, moon rituals, crystals, colors, chakras, animal and nature guidance, manifestation, metaphysics, quantum mechanics, shadow work and self-care, sound frequencies, astrology, extraterrestrials. All the while integrating them with all of my previous understanding and knowledge of history, global cultures and religion, psychology, and philosophy and well as my own experiences of healing, and connection to crate my own personal and unique spiritual practices, rituals and readings.The Purpose of My Service:
I have been through my dark night of the soul, I have done more than one iteration of shadow work that took me to to the brink and back. I survived those dark nights and came back with a greater understanding of myself, a greater understanding of my pain and trauma and a greater connection to The Universe. Now I seek to help others as I was helped. As the wise Starhawk says, "Without a spiritual base...and without a community to share them with, I might long ago have succumbed to frustration and despair." (Shield of Wisdom, p. 87)I hope that my life can serve as a bridge for others on either side of the religious/spiritual chasm of the soul that often separates us. I stand with each foot planted in a different world. The one: logical, thinking, 'right- brained,' educated, global traveler, career educator that pays bills and navigates the Muggle-world to the best of my ability while also slogging through a very human experience. The other one foot: standing in an unseen but very/more real world of 'left-brained' intuition, feeling, with an incredible gift for synchronicity and seeing the connection and meaning in symbols and patterns and purpose in the human experience and a deep desire to connect with nature and higher levels of consciousness. A spiritual being with a passion for wisdom, understanding, and helping humanity by being a conduit for Divine Love and understanding and connection.In my eternal gratitude and service to the Divine for the handful of seemingly random and sporadic guidance have had along the way,The more I heal my own life and soul then more I strive to share with others what I have learned and help them find their way to acceptance, understanding and Love (for themselves and others), a deeper personal connection with The Divine so that they can grow their eternal soul and lead more fulfilling lives.Spiritual Talks Given:
